Being a representative of an emotional nation myself, I am fond of nationalities that can express themselves without limitations. Participants in the communication process can perceive such an open self-expression as a challenge. Especially it is applicable for the nations residing in the northern part since it is a proven fact that weather and climate can impact human behaviour.
Let us refer our attention to one of the most emotionally performing nations of the world. These are Argentinians.
Argentinians sparkle with their openness and acceptance.
When you meet an Argentinian for the first time it is something evoking a friendly collaboration from the first minute. They sparkle with their openness and acceptance. You can be even intrigued by how friendly their approach to communication is. Yet it does not mean that you have become friends already.
Even though the beginning of the initial communication is undoubtedly friendly – they do accept you after profound steps of passing the events emotionally together. This togetherness unites through emotions.
If we could apply the idiom to the entire nation – we would say…
If Argentinians complain you must participate in their dissatisfaction absolutely. If it is a victory whether it is a big or just a tiny one – they can share the celebration even with a total stranger. If we could apply the idiom to the entire nation – we would say: “Argentinians are social butterflies.” And they are proud of that.
While conducting official negotiations emotional aspects can prevail. Sensuality can be both of a helpful and slightly distracting nature. When emotional engagement evokes positivity – it speeds up the process and the outcome of the negotiations. On contrary, even a tiny negative aspect can prevent or prolong the process of the negotiations as well as constrain the best possible outcome.
